Vote iQ members can submit a rating for any politician on the site. Our ratings are based on a scale from 1 - 5. The more you agree with a politician's stand on issues, or their voting record or even their style, the higher you should rate them. Five is the highest rating you can give a politician. Community Rating: All ratings by members will be used to calculate the politician's community rating. Let these people who represent you know what you think about the job they are doing. Influence the Score: Members who are very active on our site will have a slightly higher influence on the overall community rating for a politician than those who do not participate as much. To raise this influence on ratings, we ask that you take action and add to the conversation. Here are some of the ways you can do this:
- add content, such as articles, links to news, or images,
- add comments,
- submit more ratings,
- connect with more people in your network.
Vote iQ wants its members to be engaged, and leading the conversation around politics in this country and around the world.
No Rating: If no-one has rated a politician yet, they will have a null or zero rating. You may see this even after you go ahead and submit your rating. Our calculations for a politician's rating takes into account a number of factors, and it runs regularly. If you rate someone and don't see a change to their rating, come back to view their page later to see how it's changed.
