Taking into account the small number of those taking this poll and it's unscientific nature, the numbers reflect what is really going on, and that is, a small percentage of us are so rich that we can weather almost any economic storm. What puzzles me is how so many of the have-nots can support the ideology of the have's, even against their own best interests. What will it take for us to realize that the top few won't be happy until the rest of us are scrounging for a living on garabage dumps. less

Those making the anti-Obama comments here seem to forget that this Recession/Depression was caused by Republican, pro-Big Business, pro-Big Oil, anti-environment policies. Tax cuts for the rich and additional tax breaks for Big Business led to decreased tax revenues, while deregulation was also allowing major financial firms and other big business to screw the huge majority of the population. If you want to blame someone, then blame Dubya (probably the worst President in history), Dick Cheney (Mr. Big Oil), and Republican Congresses (pro-Big Business) for creating this mess that President Obama inherited!
Why have only the major culprits been given financial bailouts, but not the victims (small businesses and individuals)? Federal, State, and local government budgets are all in trouble because tax revenues are down, NOT because of government spending. Cutting off benefits to honest working people who have lost their jobs (like my wife and myself) is not the right thing to do, for sure. less
